The WesternNL Food hub in Corner Brook is looking to open more sites so customers can pick up fresh produce.
The group delivered their annual community update online last week, reporting that more than 22 per cent of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are food insecure. The Western NL Food hub opened in Corner Brook last year and is looking to hear from community groups and organizations interested in becoming a pick-up location. The food hub offers customers a connection to fresh, local, produce and meats. The goal is to add 6-8 additional pick up points within a two hour radius of Corner Brook.
