Wellington County’s budget has been approved and will see a 4.6 per cent tax increase for residents in 2024.
Warden Andy Lennox says budgets are a tough process for staff, specifically this year while dealing with high construction costs and inflationary pressures.
“Not to beat the dead horse, but homelessness and housing are also a major factor,” said Lennox after deliberations Thursday.
CICW spoke with Lennox at Wellington County council chambers following the budget’s approval.
