As election day in Nova Scotia approaches, candidates across the province’s 55 electoral districts are ramping up efforts to connect with voters as the campaign reaches its final stretch before the decisive day on November 26.
Lisa Lachance, elected to the Nova Scotia Legislative Assembly in 2021, is the NDP’s candidate for the Halifax Citadel-Sable Island — which includes the city’s downtown area.
In a discussion with CKDU, Lachance discussed their party’s initiatives to expand the province’s affordable housing stock, improve access to primary care physicians through collaborative clinics, and address rising costs — along with issues, such as ongoing public transportation woes, specifically impacting Halifax residents.
This discussion is part of an interview series featuring candidates in the Halifax Citadel-Sable Island electoral district. CKDU has contacted the area’s three other candidates and is awaiting a response.
