With a new year beginning New Year’s resolutions are a topic of conversation, maybe you want to read more. Or maybe you want to travel. One more thing thing that you can add to your list which makes a positive impact on the community, is volunteering.
Waterloo Region is facing a decrease in volunteers since the pandemic, and organizations across the region are always looking for volunteers.
Volunteers like Kimberly Seed, a volunteer driver for Family and Children Services in Kitchener, says that adding something as simple as spending a couple hours a month volunteering make a difference to the community, and also the person doing the volunteering.
CKWR News spoke to several volunteers about why they give their time to others.
