Construction detour routes will pass through the Six Nations community during an upcoming rehabilitation project to repair a damaged culvert on Old Greenfield Rd., which sits just west of the Six Nations territory.
County of Brant representatives Mark Eby and Joe Murphy presented the route to Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) during the Feb. 26 political liaison meeting and said 3rd Line Rd., Mohawk Rd., and Sour Springs Rd. will all be used as a detour route for traffic as construction takes place.
Eby, County of Brant director of infrastructure and asset management, said the project’s start has not been determined but that the work will take place at some point between July-September of this year.
SNEC stated it will work with the Country of Brant to provide more information on the project to the community as council is notified.
