This year marks the 50th anniversary of what is now known as the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV). To commemorate the semi-centennial, the university has announced the “UFV 50 Program Fund,” which will offer grants to successful applicants with ideas to mark the occasion.
The fund encourages faculty, departments and officially recognized student groups to apply for grants of between $500 and $5,000 in one of two application periods: Jan. 15 to Feb. 11, 2024, and June 3 to June 30, 2024.
CIVL Radio spoke with UFV’s associate vice president of community engagement, Laura Authier, who is in charge of the program fund, among many other anniversary events starting in April.
“[The fund is looking for] any project that would fit that idea of engaging with learners, transforming lives and building community,” said Authier.
More information can be found in the full interview or on the UFV blog.
