Residents of the Village of Russell Connie Johnston and Jen Pershick are launching the book they collaborated on, Voices of Our Town.
Johnston started the project years ago, gathering stories and anecdotal submissions from residents of Russell, but realized she would need help to put all the stories together. She asked Pershick for help with the cover and was overjoyed when Pershick, a graphic designer who works in publishing, offered to help with the layout and images of the book as well.
Johnston and Pershick are pleased the book is finally out, all 640 pages of it, and will be officially launched the afternoon of June 15, upstairs at the Russell Arena.
