Two Row on the Grand annual canoe paddle has invited Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) to join them for the event’s opening and closing ceremonies.
Two Row on the Grand is a 10 day canoe paddle where participants travel along the Grand River from Cambridge to Port Maitland. This year’s paddle is set for July 24-Aug. 2.
Ellie Joseph, co-founder of Two Row on the Grand, says the event is a great way to engage with the community and educate visitors on the Six Nations community and its connection to the Grand River.
Council discussed the possibility of providing funds to help cover some of the expenses that come with the event. SNEC say a final decision on providing support will be determined at an upcoming general finance meeting.
