Harbour Front Centre’s yearly Kuumba event is hosting a new exhibition in February that “explores themes of Black identity.”
The exhibition (Screaming)…into the Void is a collaborative multimedia art collection by Aaron Jones and Tiffany Sutton. Jones is a Canadian photographer with previous exhibitions at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Nuit Blanche. Sutton is an American photographer who for the last few years has exclusively taken photos of Black women. Sutton says that focusing her work on black women she has gotten more residencies and grants.
For Jones and Sutton, this will be the first time they are collaborating. It will also be Sutton’s first time in Toronto.
