The TTC will part of the One Fare Program to make travel to and from the GTA more convenient for riders. The news was announced at a press conference on February 5.
The One Fare Program is run by the Province to allow transit riders to use one fare on different systems. Starting on Feb. 26, Presto transfers will work with the TTC, GO, Brampton Transit, Durham Region Transit, MiWay, and York Region Transit systems.
Riders will have two hours to transfer to a new system and three for the GO. This will allow riders in Mississauga use Miway (City of Mississauga Transit) to get to a GO station, arrive at Union and hop on the TTC.
With the TTC’s adoption of credit cards to pay for fare in Aug. 2023 riders do not need a Presto card to use the transfer. The transfer applies to presto, debit and credit cards.
