Trent University’s downtown campus, Catharine Parr Traill College, opened the Jalynn Bennett Amphitheatre last summer and is now hosting a free music series in the space.
Traill College Principal Dr. Michael Eamon hopes the Amphitheatre will bring people to Traill to “celebrate Arts and Culture,” through the series “William and Nona Heaslip Music on the Hill.”
These outdoor music events will happen every second Thursday. The first in event the series featured the Peterborough Symphony Orchestra Chamber Ensemble, bringing over 100 people to Traill on June 27.
The following events will feature both Peterborough-based performers, and talent from across the province. On July 11, Music on the Hill brings “J.S. Bach’s Long Walk in the Snow,” presented by Tom Allen.
