Staff in Centre Wellington will be passing along their thoughts to Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation about potential improvements to Highway 6 at the entrance to Fergus.
Several ends of the town, staff say, are projected to blossom with development as Fergus sees its population skyrocket by 2051.
Several traffic calming measures, and possibly even some roundabouts, could be on the way in- that is if the ministry is content with the suggestions to the highway locally.
CICW chatted with Centre Wellington Managing Director of Infrastructure Services Colin Baker about the township’s vision for one of its key travel arteries.
