What started out as a six-storey development application has been amended to five storeys and has recently been approved by council in Centre Wellington.
The mixed-use dwelling to be built at St. David Street North and Strathallan Drive in Fergus is adjacent to a gas bar and drive-through restaurant.
These factors spurred much conversation and debate at a meeting earlier this week.
