Loyalist Township council has approved a grant request from the Amherst Island Community Medical
Clinic, as well as a request from “We Play for Tyler” for the free use of the Willie Pratt Ball Fields.
The $586 grant and the $1,131.24 in-kind service grant for the fields’ use are to be funded from the mayor’s discretionary fund.
The 5th annual We Play for Tyler fundraiser is a softball event taking place at Willie Pratt Ball Fields from July 12-14. The event is in memory of Tyler Lambert.
The corporate services, strategy and innovation department brought the requests forward at this week’s council meeting along with one asking that the second intake period in 2024 for community grants through the renewable energy benefit fund policy be shifted to open on May 15, and close June 12. This request was also approved.
