Kristi Lane Sinclair is a Haida/ Cree grunge musician piercing through the dialogue on domestic abuse in her latest material.
Released in 2023, Super Blood Wolf Moon, a 12-track alternative rock album, produced by Juno-nominated artist Terra Lightfoot, depicts a true account of what it is like to live with domestic violence and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Sinclair breaks down her initial reluctance to publicize these songs and some of this year’s highlights since the album’s release, including sharing the stage with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra back in September. It was here where she performed Woman (2015) a song about murdered and missing Indigenous women.
She will be performing on Nov. 9, 2024 at the Tkaranto Music Festival at Massey Hall in downtown Toronto.
