The 2024 Kingston General Hospital (KGH) Auxiliary “Show Children You Care” Teddy Bear campaign has officially launched, this year taking on a larger goal than usual.
For the last 21 years, the Teddy Bear campaign has supported the purchase of patient care equipment for the pediatric program at Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC). While the project usually makes an immediate purchase, this year, they are embarking on a multi-year commitment to purchase a point-of-care ultrasound machine, which will cost $55,000.
At the end of the campaign during peak holiday season, teddy bears will be delivered to children receiving care at KHSC and at Weeneebayko General Hospital in Moose Factory.
