The National Youth Orchestra of Canada (NYO Canada) is returning to the Wilfred Laurier University campus this coming summer.
Wilfred Laurier University’s concert hall recently underwent renovations which caused the program to temporarily relocate to Queen’s University. Cynthia Johnston Turner, Dean in the Faculty of Music says many updates have been done to the space, and the University is ready to welcome the NYO Canada students in Summer 2025. Now, back in Waterloo for its 65th year Christie Gray, the CEO of NYO Canada is excited to bring these talented musicians back to the region.
NYO Canada is a full scholarship program for promising musicians ages 16-28. These musicians come from across Canada, to train in state-of-the-art facilities and with industry professionals.
