A 19 year old from Ontario was rescued after becoming stranded on a cliff in the Bay of Islands this week.
Members of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called out to the area of Blomidon Brook around 6 p.m. on Monday. Cst James Cadigan says the young man was unable to get back safely so a rescue mission was started. The teen was airlifted by helicopter around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning; there were no injuries.
Adam Gaudet, Training Coordinator with the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue Team, says a dozen members showed up to help the other agencies.
