Port Elgin resident Andy MacGregor is one of three candidates vying to fill the vacant seat on the municipal council for Strait Shores, the sprawling amalgamated municipality that includes Port Elgin, Cape Tormentine and Murray Corner.
MacGregor tells CHMA about the issues he’s hoping to bring forward if elected, such as speeding in Port Elgin, road conditions throughout the region, and municipal action on tourism development. MacGregor also talks about beefing up the discussion of municipal issues around the council table.
The Strait Shores by-election takes place Monday, December 9, with voting at PEDVAC in Port Elgin from 10am to 8pm.
Candidates are Andy MacGregor, Terrence Legere, and Donna Allen. CHMA has reached out to all three for interviews.
