The Woodland Cultural Centre (WCC) presented plans for the future of the former Mohawk Indian Residential school on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
The virtual lunch and learn event featured guest speakers and a question-and-answer session following the presentation.
Heather George the newly appointed Executive Director of the Woodland Centre says the events focus is partly on the historical narrative of the former Residential school as well as what people can expect to see when the exhibit opens in 2025.
Nick Rowland with the Weatherston Bruer Associates Architect firm of Toronto says the detail and thought taken with this museum installation has taken years to get to this point and that several different digital and practical techniques will be utilized to present the exhibit.
The recorded presentation will be available on the WCC website and social media platforms.
