Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) STEAM Academy has announced plans to change its name in March to Six Nations Polytechnic Secondary School.
SNP STEAM Academy has operated with its current name since operations began seven years ago. The school officials told Six Nations Elected Council during its general council meeting on Nov 12 that the name change is due to the school’s growth in that time.
The school says despite the name change, curriculum changes will not be made and all programs offered through the school will still be available.
This year SNP STEAM Academy celebrated its largest Grade 9 class of 28 students, and in total provides education programs to over 100 students.
The school says the name change will take effect in March 2025.
