Six Nations Fire Department and Six Nations Elected Council have announced the official closure of the fire department’s station #3 located at 2134 Cayuga Rd.
The fire station was one of five stations within Six Nations including the Six Nations Training Academy.
Michael Seth, Six Nations Fire Dept. Acting Fire Chief, says the parcel of land will now be returned to the original land owner’s estate Luella Elliot.
Seth says Six Nations Fire Department will now conduct an assessment on community risk to determine if a new building is needed and where the building will be constructed.
The announcement was made during the May 14 general council meeting.
