Camping Île-Marie, a local ball hockey team from Sherbrooke, will be playing for the LDK Cup in the National Ball Hockey League finals.
The team is entering the finals after finishing third in the regular season under the leadership of Captain Wayne Létourneau, who started playing deck hockey at 12 years old.
Létourneau expressed confidence in their preparation and determination, noting that “when you make sacrifices, like in everything in life, good things happen.”
The league, recognized as the best in Quebec, includes players from various professional ice hockey leagues.
The first games will be held at the HBLL Center in Mirabel, followed by home games at the CHBS Complex in Sherbrooke. They’ll be facing off against the Hawks of Mirabel.
