The Pontiac Senior Comets will be returning to the Centre de Loisirs des Draveurs Century 21 Elite this season as part of the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League.
One of the team’s owners, Sebastien Bonnerot, explained while they had intended to play in the league last season, their plans fell through due to a dispute over which division they would play in. He and his fellow owners managed to purchase the franchise in Bytown which secured them entry into the league’s eastern division.
Bonnerot said that they were in a time crunch to sign enough players and get everything organized by the time the season starts in September. But, he added he was glad that high-level men’s hockey would be returning to town, and is hoping to have as many local players as possible. He encourages anyone interested to get in touch.
