Monopolized Records, based in Uptown Saint John, is celebrating its 10th anniversary of producing music in the city.
Lifelong Saint Johner Corey Bonnevie established the studio and label in 2015 after having played and recorded music in the area for some years prior. He has since helped numerous artists in the local area make music, whilst also continuing to play and record music of his own.
Bonnevie spoke with Local 107.3FM about building the business from the ground up and the highs and lows involved in the running of a small independent studio, as well as the value he sees in making music.
