A writer and an artist based in Saint John recently presented their work-in-progress graphic novel about the untold story of real life sex workers at the turn of the 20th century at an international illustration research conference in London, UK.
The conference, the 14th Annual International Illustration Research symposium, took place in late November, at Chelsea College of Arts in central London.
Writer, Dr. Gemma Marr and illustrator, KC Wilcox, speaks to CFMH Radio about the challenges of bringing stories to life about people whose histories have been lost to time. They also talked about how to do their stories justice, while acknowledging that much about their lives remains unknown.
