Otonabee Conservation issued a Flood Watch to all municipalities within its jurisdiction at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday due to Hurricane Beryl’s anticipated impact in Ontario and Quebec.
This includes all, or portions of, Selwyn, Douro-Dummer, Asphodel-Norwood, Otonabee-South Monaghan, Cavan Monaghan, City of Kawartha Lakes, Trent Hills, and the City of Peterborough.
Extreme weather is predicted, including an expected amount of rainfall between 40-50 mm, from July 9-July 11. Otonabee Conservation is advising residents to stay aware of changing weather, and water levels, even after the extreme weather subsides. Water levels can be monitored on-line.
The Flood Watch is expected to expire Monday, July 15, at 3 p.m.
