RCMP NL are noticing excessive speeds on the roadways this summer.
A 17 year old was doing 161 km/hr on the TCH near Little Harbour on Saturday afternoon. Traffic Services West Cst. Derek Hayden joined Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit this morning to talk about the seriousness of speeding. He says posted speed limits are part of a design by engineers with speed in mind. Hayden says this time of year is statistically known to be prime time for more traffic. Speeding can lead to a suspended license, an impounded vehicle, and a hefty fine.
