The Grove Youth Wellness Hubs in Guelph and Wellington County will be participating in the Push-Up Challenge next month.
That’s a first for the organizations, who took to social media to announce their participation in the “exciting” new challenge.
Participants will be tasked with completing 2,000 push-ups within 23 days in early February, representing the mental health struggles of many in the community and across the country.
Megan Brady, Communications Specialist with Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHAWW), who will be encouraging those across the hubs and within the area to participate in the challenge, says fundraising efforts are already underway.
CICW spoke with Brady regarding the early action taken across CMHAWW, and learned more about the importance of the initiative, and funds and awareness raised for mental health.
