A public meeting is being hosted this week to discuss the future of Lemoine Point Farm.
Lemoine Point Farm is an 82-acre property just south of the Lemoine Point Conservation Area, host to local farmland, forest, shoreline, and more.
The future of the farm remains uncertain nearly two years after the passing of previous owner, Mary Fraser. The group Save Lemoine Point Farm came together with the goal of preserving the site.
This Tuesday, the group is opening the floor to all interested community members to share their ideas for the farm’s future.
“We want to hear people’s ideas for the property,” says Jim Biagi, Save Lemoine Point Farm group member. “We believe that it is important to conserve this farmland and waterfront so close to the heart of the city.”
The public meeting will be held at Centre 70 on Jan. 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. To learn more, visit eventbrite.
