Nova Scotia Liberal leader Zach Churchill says the CBRM will have autonomy when dealing with provincial-municipal affairs if his party wins the November 26th provincial election.
He says a “charter” will enable the municipality to bypass red tape on projects requiring provincial consent.
Churchill’s also promising an HST cut resulting in savings of $3, 000 for every taxpayer.
He says it’s achievable by running three consecutive deficits before capping a four year term with a balanced budget.
A recent survey puts the Liberals second to the Tories in Cape Breton voter support. Churchill says there is still time to gain more approval on the campaign trail and the Tories are unintentionally helping the Grits.
He refers to the recent resignation of a PC campaign manager who was handing out gift cards at a Lunenburg Tim Hortons while promoting a candidate.
Churchill visited CKOA Radio to talk about the upcoming provincial election which will be held on November 26, 2024.
