Plan International’s Power Within program will receive $1.5 million in funding for the second phase of its program.
The Power Within program is public-private partnership with the Department of Women and Gender Equality, and Dove’s Self Esteem project. The goal is to help young women and gender diverse improve their self-esteem and body confidence.
The funding was announced on March 5th by Lisa Hefpner, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Women and Gender Equality.
Plan International is a global youth charity with locations in over 80 countries including Canada.
Details of Phase two has yet to be announced. The only detail released is that the funding will help grow the program.
