Several roadways around the township will see lower speed limits following a council vote last night.
Centre Wellington staff recommended lowering the speed limits in certain neighbourhoods as a part of a pilot project that examines neighourhood traffic patterns.
The township’s Manager of Engineering, Adam Gilmore, said there are several new areas that are recommended for a reduced speed limit. These include reducing speeds by 10km/h on Union Street West from Tower Street to the beginning of South River Road and South River Road from the end of Union Street West to east of Haylock Avenue.
