Last week, Premier Andrew Furey met with the Premier of British Columbia David Eby to talk about housing, the new green economy, as well as mental health and addictions.
Eby spoke about Furey’s court challenge; Furey has issued a constitutional challenge on the equalization formula. He says, “the 1982 constitution states there should be a comparable level of services at a comparable level of taxation.” This is not happening and Furey believes a court needs to examine how this is applied across all jurisdictions.
Meanwhile, Furey had a chance to drive a hydrogen powered car for the first time and even filled up a hydrogen station.
