An elderly Pontiac man was sentenced to 78 months in prison at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse on January 9 for sex offences against a child between the ages of 5 and 11. A publication ban is in effect for this case, meaning that certain identifying details of both the victim and accused are not made public in order to protect the privacy of the victim.
The case did not go to trial as the accused pleaded guilty to sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
