As election day in Nova Scotia nears, an organization representing small businesses across the province are demanding party leaders not to leave shop owners and employers “in the rearview mirror.”
Last week, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) released a list of policy requests ahead of the upcoming provincial election on November 26.
“Costs are rising, demand is falling, and labour shortages are costing Nova Scotia’s small businesses $1 billion in missed business opportunities,” said Duncan Robertson, a senior policy analyst at CFIB, in a statement.
“Small businesses are concerned about the financial health of their business and hope to see proposals to make the province an affordable place to do business.”
Robertson joined CKDU to have a chat about what initiatives he’s hoping to see implemented by the next provincial government.
