Parc Extension residents will brave the cold on Tuesday night for a rally outside the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough council meeting.
Hosted by the Comite d’Action de Parc Extension (CAPE), the rally is in support of a group of Parc Ex tenants asked to leave their building for an enlargement. With Quebec in the midst of a housing crisis, CAPE is calling on the borough to pause all permits that would lead to eviction.
CKUT spoke with CAPE organizer Amy Darwish in advance of Tuesday’s event about the rise in evictions that precipitated it.
