Mystery author Katie Tallo, from Ottawa, is visiting the Russell Township Library this week to speak about her books and her upcoming mystery work.
CJRO Radio spoke with Tallo ahead of the event.
Tallo’s career path has always included writing, starting when she was a student at Algonquin College. This led to a long career in television and film, and helped awaken a desire to become a novelist, she said. After winning a UK contest for unpublished writers she was able to attract a New York agent and to sell her first manuscript to a major publisher.
Tallo’s first two books are part of a mystery trilogy and her third book comes out in December. She will be visiting the Russell branch of the Russell Township Library on Thursday, May 9 where she will describe her journey and answer questions about her career, books, characters and methods.
