Environment Canada has put out a special weather statement following Hurricane Beryl, a large, early season hurricane that devastated the state of Texas. The Ottawa region can expect up to 25 to 50 millimeters of rain that will last into tomorrow evening, and potentially into the weekend. Environment Canada is also warning of potential floods that could follow the heavy rainfall.
Also in today’s news roundup, Nashville star Jelly Roll, in town for the Ottawa Bluesfest, made a surprise appearance in a performance for patients at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre on Tuesday.
