The writ has officially dropped for the B.C. Provincial election — which could see a new government elected on October 19th, because the Conservative and NDP are neck and neck in the latest polls.
Across the northwest, candidates have been hitting the pavement, door knocking and erecting campaign signs during the first weekend as the official campaign gets underway.
The NDP’s Tamara Davidson, taking over for longtime MLA Jennifer Rice, who has decided to step away from provincial politics. Davidson plans to focus on continuing the work Rice started.
