Corner Brook drivers passed the test at Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) checkpoints throughout the holiday season.
Cst. James Cadigan says between Dec.28-30, officers conducted speed enforcement and checkpoints in Corner Brook in the area of Riverside Drive, as well as West Valley Road at West Street, where no impairment or infractions were noted. Cadigan says overall the checkpoints carried out this holiday season in Corner Brook, Labrador West and the Northeast Avalon found significant compliance and safe operation of vehicles. Meanwhile, RCMP in Bonavista nabbed five impaired drivers.
