MHAs will be heading back to their desks as the House of Assembly is set to reconvene at 1:30pm today. Bay of Islands MHA Eddie Joyce is planning on speaking about health care, which he says is the number one concern for people in his district and surrounding districts. He says he is inundated with calls from all over western NL about acute care beds used by long term care patients, wait times at emergency rooms, and the lack of family doctors. Joyce says another issue is gabion baskets along the Bay of Islands, which are decades old, need to be replaced, and boulders are ending up in the road. He says the condition of roads along the Bay of Islands has been an issue for some time now.
