Newly minted Environment Minister, Tamara Davidson, the only Northern, B.C. MLA in government takes on arguably one of toughest ministries there is, especially with her first major decision regarding the future of the PRGT pipeline.
Davidson spent 25 years as a federal public servant, and as an elected councillor for the Haida Nation. Davidson was also one of the lead negotiators for the Riding Tide landmark Haida title agreement.
Although the legislature in Victoria won’t be recalled until early February, Davidson is getting to know her staff and ministerial process as David Eby’s recent cabinet is one of the most inexperienced to govern in recent years.
