The Elora Center for the Arts is partnering with the Aboyne Rural Hospice to bring a new speaker series to the area, connecting the arts with health and wellness.
The three-part speaker series is called “Vibrant Visions: Bridging Arts, Community and Wellness.” It explores everything from improving the lives of children with disabilities to approaches to end-of-life care.
The first session is Sept. 22 and features Julia Hanigsberg, president and CEO of Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. Her talk is titled, “The Creativity Connection: How Art Contributes to Meaningful and Healthy Futures for Children with Disabilities and Developmental Differences.” A media release from the Elora Centre for the Arts says it will explore “the many ways the arts can contribute to meaningful and healthy futures for children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences.”
All proceeds will support programs at the Elora Centre for the Arts and help bring a local hospice to the area.
