Tourism PG just released a short film that aims to showcase the region as an accessible mountain biking (MTB) basecamp to the North.
Locally produced by 6sigma, “MTB Greatest Hits” features riders Brooklyn Bell, Hailey Elisee, and Micayla Gatto ripping up trails in Lheidli T’enneh area. The film came out shortly ahead of PG Cycling Club’s Enduro Challenge this July 2024.
Local trails have been created and maintained by volunteers over a span of decades. Fortunately, sharing these paths with outsiders is welcome news to Jacob Mullen, president of PG Cycling Club, who says, “anybody is more than welcome to come to Prince George and ride!”
CFO at Tourism PG Colin Carson identifies a limited supply of rental bikes as a hurdle in projected growth. With increased demand on the horizon, Mullen who also manages Ruckus Skis Boards & Bikes, says the outfit is prepared to expand in that direction as soon as it is viable.
