Minor baseball is experiencing an upsurge in participation in Sackville, and the Sackville Minor Baseball Association is working to meet the increased demand.
This week, dozens gathered to celebrate a newly refurbished “Field of Dreams” diamond behind Salem Elementary School, funded in part by the Jays Care Foundation.
CHMA was there to talk with local baseball rising star Kipling Cober, Sackville Minor Baseball’s Mike Reid, Jays Care director Robert Witchel, Salem principal Ada Phinney, and some of the U10 Sackville Hurricanes, who were excited to break in the new field.
