This is part two of a two-part report on the VIUSU All Candidate Forum from October 8.
From the Nanaimo-Gabriola Island riding, the event featured Shirley Lambrecht candidate for the BC Green Party, Sheila Malcolmson the BC NDP candidate, and Dale Parker candidate for the Conservative Party of BC to discuss topics important to post-secondary students.
Hosted by the VIU Students’ Union and VIU Political Science program the candidates were asked five key questions VIUSU gathered from students at the university. The topics covered, housing, food security, Truth and Reconciliation, tuition, and mental health resources.
Part one featured candidates from Nanaimo-Lantzville.
