A recent winner of the Creative City Network of Canada’s I.D.E.A. award, the Harmony for All program provides residents of Burnaby free musical instruments for lending, scholarship opportunities for music lessons, and zero cost outreach programs for musical education.
In a recent interview with CJSF, the Fine Arts Coordinator for the program, Tanya Rankin, discussed the community impact of the program, as well as the hope for its future growth.
Additionally, Tanya expressed her enthusiasm for the idea of other local municipalities adopting similar music programs, even stating that she has made a starting template for any one who is interested.
