The Murney Tower Museum is gearing up for their centennial celebrations in 2025 with their first fundraising event this Saturday, Sept. 7.
The historic site, built in 1846 to defend the west shore of Kingston Harbour, became a museum in 1925. In anticipation of next year’s milestone, they will be hosting a concert on the museum’s gun platform featuring Toronto-based singer-songwriter Julie Arsenault.
All funds raised from the event will support the museum’s initiatives in 2025, which will include an illustrated children’s book, storytelling workshops, illustration workshops, and an exhibition in collaboration with Modern Fuel art gallery, blending history and art to celebrate a century of Kingston’s heritage.
