After years of construction, Mt. Bernard Avenue is now fully open to motorists.
It is a major project that meant complete reconstruction of the area to handle extra pressure from the new Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
Preparations for the the next big event, the Deep Gulch Project, are underway and is in an area practically across the street near University Drive. Mayor Jim Parsons says there will be a time when O’Connell Drive will have to be closed but it will be during the weekend.
